When the start of the pandemic began, Warm Heart Mission wanted to help. We started a project to create homemade cloth masks as there was a shortage at the time. We asked for help locally and online from volunteers to cut or sew the materials needed. We searched high and low for fabric and elastic bands. At the beginning of the project, sourcing fabric and elastic bands was difficult. There was a high demand for reusable handmade cloth masks. Our founder, Kimberly Vodang had also asked help from her friends who had sewn for a living to contribute; which they so graciously did. Around late April early May, we were able to finally source enough elastic bands locally; so our project needed more volunteers. We requested help from volunteers to cut the fabric or sew the masks and we would deliver or ship the necessary material to them. Within 2 months of that project, those amazing volunteers were able to sew over 5000 cloth masks. Here are a few places that we were able to donate the masks to. Masks Donated
